About Me

															What I do!
Nice to meet you.
Hi, I’m Rekha Mehay, a proud mom of two teenagers, a long-time Airdrie resident, and someone who believes deeply in the power of community.
Over a decade ago, I chose Airdrie as the place to raise my family, and since then, this city has become home. I’ve had the privilege of teaching and volunteering in our local schools, supporting the very system that helps shape our future leaders.
Before starting my own business, I worked in the public school system for over ten years, where I gained valuable experience supporting children and families. My education background has shaped my understanding of how much early support and connection matter.
I started my business as a small home-based venture, growing it from my basement to a commercial space where I now have the opportunity to serve even more families in our community. One of the most meaningful roles I’ve had is teaching Airdrie’s youth through the Home Alone Safety Course with the Canada Safety Council, helping kids feel empowered and families feel more confident.
As a first-generation Canadian, I’ve seen the challenges many families face. Diversity and inclusion are incredibly important to me. Every family deserves to feel welcome, supported, and valued here in Airdrie.
This journey is deeply personal, and it’s rooted in love: love for my family, love for Airdrie, and a genuine desire to contribute to its growth, safety, and a place where everyone feels welcome.
I’m so excited to share more with you in the days ahead, and to listen, learn, and grow together.
Sincerely,
Rekha Mehay
